So, to get started, cut out five coordinating fabrics 6" x 6". I sew alot, so I bought one of those plastic grids. Also, you will need to buy Insul-Bright, which is an insulated lining, so that water doesn't go through to your table! Cut it the same as your squares of fabric. Four of the squares, iron in half. One square is saved for the backing. Then follow the pictures below, and layer the pieces of fabrics.
Then, sew all around the outside edges about one-quarter of an inch. Clip the corners, so it lays flat when you turn it inside-out.
Iron it flat. I sewed it around the edges, but you don't have to, especially, if you used thicker fabrics because it is hard to get it under your needle.
Remember, this is a DIY project, so it does not need to be perfect! This would be a great project for beginners! Have fun! Talk to you tomorrow!
