Oops!!! My last post messed up! Well, okay, I messed it up! I wasn't patient enough, and I didn't wait for the changes to upload before posting it!!! The picture was of the stool, not the table! Sorry!!! Oh well, if that is my only mistake blogging....
This is a simple painting project that, yes, anyone could do! I sanded the table down and then painted on the cute seafoam color that I stole from a friend!!! She was moving, I was storing her paints, but when she came to pick up her paints, I had already used it on the porch bench that you see on my opening page, and now the small table and bar stool!
Too bad it was an "oops" paint because I don't actually know the color. Sorry! My friend, Amy, didn't care! I confessed about stealing her paint, and she loved the way the things turned out.
. So, don't let painting projects scare you, they are easy! By the way, I sanded some edges with 220 sandpaper for that shabby look, then ragged on paste wax, let it dry a minute for a minute, and rubbed it to a shine. It helps protect the paint after you "rough" it up.
Enjoy! By the way, the table will be for sale at my show in September if not before.
