My daughter-in-law first got me addicted to succulents! It is her fault! Now, I look for new varieties wherever I go. They are super easy, and fit smaller containers! They need very little water, can grow outside in full sun or inside with a lot of light, and if a leaf falls off just lay it on the dirt, and a baby plant will grow! I pinch them off so that I do have babies!
Yesterday, I was just going to run by Hobby Lobby and pick up some fabric for a chair I plan to recover. I didn't buy fabric, but their spring shop was on sale 66% off! I found so many cute things that could by used all year, and the tins those succulents are in were on sale!
After buying so many unique succulents, I needed fun containers! I had collected a few from other places. The following picture is a tool box I picked up at Round Top.
I will tell you, I have killed a few from over-watering. If there are gnats around them, then you have watered too much! I was watering them whenever I watered my other plants! (I texted my daughter-in-law to find out that I was probably watering too much)!
They could be put in any small container! I have old punch cups that I plan to use and also some tea cups!
Let your imagination go wild!
Hi, I am Sharon Farmer. I am married, have a great son and sweet daughter-in-law, my parents moved down here years ago, so we share a house (Mom passed away almost two years ago now), and I am ready for a change in my life....hence the blog!
