Good morning! Yesterday was a fun day! I got to spend it with several sweet friends and their kids! (Always a good day when kids are involved!).
I needed to refinish my work table before I used it in too many of my posts. The surface had gotten really worn, so you could see water rings and scratches. It is so simple now to refinish furniture with Citristrip Stripping Gel! I don't get paid to say this...although one day I hope to! I love this product! You can use it inside because the odor is citrusy, not harsh! I painted on one coat of the product, and waited thirty minutes. Then, I used a scrapper to remove the old finish. I usually do it several times to make sure it is all off. Then, I restained the surface. Depending on what the surface looks like, it could be left natural without stain. I was not refinishing the legs of the table, so I needed to restain it. After eight hours, I was ready to add shine to the table. I like Minwax Wipe-On Poly in clear gloss! Again...not getting paid to say that! Use a rag and wipe it on. Let it dry 2-3 hours, sand with a 220 grit sandpaper, and wipe off dust! Then, add another coat. I personally like to add more coats, so that the surface puts up with all I do to it! I refinished my dining room table, and added around seven coats! I want to be able to use it, not just look at it! On to another project! Have a wonderful craft-filled day! (That was put in for humor...I know most of you are crazy busy and would love a play day!)
Hi, I am Sharon Farmer. I am married, have a great son and sweet daughter-in-law, my parents moved down here years ago, so we share a house (Mom passed away almost two years ago now), and I am ready for a change in my life....hence the blog!
