I apologize first off for not writing on my blog since school started. I have been on a quest to find joy in every day, and sorry, some days my blog was a burden, not a joy. All the research I needed to do to find sponsors, content, and then crafting something to write about was overwhelming. I had decided to not go back to substitute teaching, so I could blog full time, but I missed the kids! So, I went back to subbing, and I work almost every day, so the blogging went to the wayside. Hummm, that’s life isn’t it. But like with everything, there is a happy medium! So, I took the day off. A day to get caught up, to readjust my life, and to spend time in prayer!
The joy I was looking for came back slowly. I think sometimes we look for big things to bring us joy, and don’t see all the little, sweet moments in our lives. I started letting God do the worrying for me (on the most part...I am human after all), I put all my decisions in His hands and I know this is a shock, but they work out so much better that way, and I made sure I got up thirty minutes earlier to have a Bible study and pray. You know, I am calmer, happier, and the joy is popping up in all sorts of places.
I would encourage you to pray, leave things in God’s hands, and find your joy! Look for the positive things in every day, and thank God for them! It might be a butterfly that flitters in front of you, or your child saying or doing something sweet. Live and love each day!!!
I received the sweetest message from someone today about my blog, and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect! Thank you for passing on the encouragement I needed!
Hi, I am Sharon Farmer. I am married, have a great son and sweet daughter-in-law, my parents moved down here years ago, so we share a house (Mom passed away almost two years ago now), and I am ready for a change in my life....hence the blog!
